My daughter adn I watch the biggest looser. And we were surprised and overjoyed when one of the contestants refused to vote!
Yup he refused because as he put it everyone is there for one thing and to vote someone off is just rediculous. Everyone was upset at that because thats what you have to do, and he left voluntarily because to do that was unfair since everyone was there to loose weight and live longer.

I wish theer were more like him. I am thinking about trying out for it.

I have thought about signing up for it as well. I don't know if I could leave my children for that long though since I am the only one they can count on.

I always cry during the shows. I understand exactly what they are all feeling.

The other thing that bothers me is the bootcamp drill seargent mentality. When Jillian said at te begining fo this season teh only way you will get of fthat treadmill is either by passing out or dying and teh older man almost did die and teh doctor said he couldnt do that much exercise, what gives them teh right to get you to the point of vomiting. it doesnt prove anything except for dramatics.
seems they  hve lost the perspective of the point of  the show in favor of dramatics.

I agree! I understand a training needs to push you to keep you motivated and keep you going---but there has got to be a limit for each individual person.

I think in this case they feel if the person lost weight--he would be come healthy again---but that isn't always the case because usually once the damage is done and they are of older age--you can't always fix them.

I would love to have Jillian as my personal trainer.  People know going into the show that it will be hard.  They have to expect it.
We watch the show every week.  It's amazing the transformations that these people make.

Yes, they have to know it is hard--but I blame the show. ABC should be screening these people closer--if they have bad medical history--they have to slowly move into things--not jump right into hard training--very very easy to drop dead that way--especially with all the weight a person these people have on their bodies. Hard on the heart!!
