For those looking to check out lost and forgotten classic baseball games, you may want to check out ESPN classics as it has some really great footage airing

Oh yea ESPN classics is great.  Many of the games bring me back to watching baseball with my dad when I was a kid.

I saw the Cincinnati Reds go against the Boston Red Sox the other day. It was great watching guys like Pete Rose and Johnny Bench in their prime.

Does anyone know what was the oldest baseball game ever preserved on film?  If so, what was it and does footage of it still exist?

The first baseball games to be televised were played at Ebbets Field, Brooklyn NY., August 26, 1939, between the Cincinnati Reds and the Brooklyn Dodgers. It was a double header.

Sorry, I forgot the second part of the question. I don't know if footage of that game still exists.
