Everyone knows he can't win, but that's not the point.  He's a candidate with real opinions and ideas and conviction.  Hillary and Barack aren't bad - I'm certain one of them will one, and each is certainly better than what we've been stuck with for the last 8 years - but I don't have much faith that they'll bring about any great change within the country.  I don't think they'll successfully improve health care, or make much of a difference in taxes, or get us out of Iraq fast enough.  I'm hopeful that they will at least reverse a few of the horrible things that Bush has done - close Guantanamo, end our torture practices, stop taking away our rights and liberties, stop catering so much to corporations, perhaps even obey a few laws.

Anyway, if you hear of Nader coming to speak in your area, go listen to him.  You will most likely learn a few things about our government and the political parties that will make you pretty angry.  Before him I never knew how truly backwards and corrupt Pennsylvania (and Philadelphia) government is.

I read a couple of his books. I think his "glory days" were the 1960's and 1970's. He seems like a celebrity just "hanging on" these days.

Ralph Nader is a good speaker, but no leader and that is his problem. He could never convince the masses to follow him and their is the basic problem with him.

Honestly, Why? Voting for a 3rd party candidate is just in my ophinion a waste of your vote, because we all know that a 3rd party candidate has no chance in office. It's either Republican or Democrat.

I don't know how people that nobody really knows justify their candidacy for the presidency.
I cannot see any logic in it.

Agreed, why does he even bother running? It's just a waste of time and money!
