Do you think Survivor is on it's last legs? I am hopeing they can keep it fresh, but I have my doubts.

I think this one may be the swan song. The show jumped the shark a long time ago.

I have always liked that term "Jumped the Shark" Let me know if anyone wants to know where the term originated.

Hey gilipsie, I wasn't aware of the term till a while ago.

Was it from a sitcom from the seventies?

Hey gilipsie, I know where the term came from too. I will leave it to you to explain, if you want.

To answer the original thread, I think Survivor has hit the end of it's run.

This is such a sad day knowing that survivor may be on its last legs. I am such a sucker for survivor. As soon as I hear a commercial on TV about it, i'm instantly glued to the TV. I sure hope it lasts, even forever.

Our inside sources tell us that CBS has signed on for 3 more seasons. While the show isn't as strong as it was, it still has a loyal following.

This show is the same thing year after year. Whenever they try to make it different it always ends up just like it always was. Remember women vs. men, ethnic groups vs. other ethnic groups, and things like that?

They need to revamp it. It doesn't matter if it's based in Africa, China, or Hawaii, it's the same old thing. They could put the show anyplace where there's a beach and there would be no difference.

For once, try to place it in a colder climate, maybe Alaska in the fall months, and see how they can handle things without showing off their bodies all the time. It might be more interesting too.

I think Survivor is still going strong. It still has lots of viewers. Each season is completely different so I don't see why it would be on its last leg.

Survior seems primed for syndication.

It has too large a fan base to totally disappear, but the premise is too worn for broadcast tv.  Advertisers will want something fresh!
