Twin freshmen Markieff and Marcus Morris have been cleared by the NCAA Eligibility Center to enroll in classes at Kansas and join the defending NCAA champion Jayhawks. Classes at Kansas began Aug. 21. With the certification of their academic eligibility, the two 18-year-old recruits from Philadelphia were preparing to enroll and begin classes Friday.

All Horizon teams to play BracketBusters (AP)
It's a slam dunk for the Horizon League. The conference announced all 10 of its members will play in the annual ESPNU BracketBusters on Feb. 20-21. Pairings will be set Feb. 2. Loyola of Chicago, Valparaiso, Wright State, Youngstown State, Wisconsin-Milwaukee and Illinois-Chicago will host games, while Butler, Cleveland State, Detroit and Wisconsin-Green Bay will play on the road.

Stabbed Sooner Willis out of hospital (AP)
An Oklahoma basketball player stabbed at a Norman nightclub has been released from the hospital and is expected to make a full recovery, Sooners coach Jeff Capel said Thursday. Freshman guard Ray Willis was released from hospital care on Wednesday. "He sustained multiple wounds, one of which resulted in a partially collapsed lung," Capel said.
